How to Check a BEP-20 Balance After a Swap
After a BNB Smart Chain swap, confirm the transaction, check the output token on the same network, and use its contract address if your wallet hides it.

To check a BEP-20 balance after a swap, confirm the transaction on BNB Smart Chain, then look for the output token in your wallet or on a chain explorer. A BEP-20 token follows the rules for tokens on BNB Smart Chain. The swap changes what your address holds on that network; it may take a little time for your wallet to show the new amount.
How do I confirm the swap went through?
Open the swap’s transaction details in your wallet or the swap service, and check its status. A successful transaction means the network processed it; a pending transaction is still waiting, and a failed one did not complete. You can also search your public wallet address or transaction hash on a BNB Smart Chain explorer to inspect the transaction and token transfers. For a closer look at charts, wallet views and chain records, see Poocoin’s guide to chart, wallet and chain views. The transaction record is the useful check when a wallet display has not caught up.
Where should I look for the new token?
First, make sure your wallet is set to BNB Smart Chain. Then check its token list for the asset you received. If the swap is confirmed but the token is missing from the list, the wallet may not have added it automatically. Search for the token using its contract address, the identifier for its on-chain token record, and add that asset to the wallet’s display. The address lets you distinguish tokens that share a name or symbol.
- Check the transaction status and confirm it succeeded.
- Confirm the wallet is showing BNB Smart Chain.
- Find the output token transfer and amount in the transaction details.
- If the token is not listed, add it by its verified contract address.
How do I check the balance on a chain explorer?
Search for your wallet address on a BNB Smart Chain explorer and look for its token holdings. Find the token by its contract address, then compare the displayed balance with the amount received in the swap’s token transfer. A swap can return less than the initial quote if the price moves before the transaction completes, so the confirmed transfer is the record of what arrived.
Take care to use the contract address for the token you actually swapped into. A matching name or ticker alone does not prove it is the same asset. If the transaction succeeded and the explorer shows the balance, the tokens are on-chain even if your wallet has not yet added them to its list.
